ناشَدتَنا بِكتَابِ اللهِ حُرمَتَنا

ناشَدتَنا بِكتَابِ اللهِ حُرمَتَنا

ولَم تَكُن بِكتَابِ اللهِ تَرتَفِعُ

ولَم تَكُن بِكتَابِ اللهِ تَرتَفِعُ

You adjured us by God's Book, invoking our sacred bond;

I called upon you in God's book our sanctity

yet you did not rise through God's Book.

Yet with God's book you did not rise high
