وَعُداتي شُمَّتٌ أَعجَبَهُم

وَعُداتي شُمَّتٌ أَعجَبَهُم

أَنّني غُيِّبتُ عَنهُم في قَرَن

أَنّني غُيِّبتُ عَنهُم في قَرَن

And my enemies gloat, delighted

My promises dazzled them

that I have been hidden away from them in fetters.

That I disappeared from them for an era

فَسَبيلٌ أُسوَةٌ جَمٌّ بها

فَسَبيلٌ أُسوَةٌ جَمٌّ بها

عَنوَةً للِمَلكِ في بَعضِ الظَّنَن

عَنوَةً للِمَلكِ في بَعضِ الظَّنَن

For this is a path shared by many,

So it's an exemplary path, thronged with them

forcibly held by the king on some suspicion.

Defiantly, to the king in some of the guesses
