  1. اليوم طبق افق الدولة النورُ

    واوضحت فلق الملك التباشيرُ

    Today light has filled the realm's horizon,

    and glad tidings have brightened the dawn of kingship.

  2. فكل عين إليك اليوم طامحة

    وكل قلب بما خولت مسرور

    So every eye looks up toward you today,

    and every heart rejoices in what you have been granted.

  3. اقبلت في خلع السلطان زينها

    ذيل على انجم الزهراء مجرور

    You came in the sultan's robes of honor, adorned

    by a train drawn over the stars of al-Zahra.

  4. كأنما نسجتها في الرياض بدا

    غيث فرونقها بالحسن مغمور

    As though their weaver had appeared in the gardens—

    rain; their lustre is drenched in beauty.

  5. ورحت فوق جواد كالعقاب جرى

    والجود في سرجه والمجد والخير

    And you rode upon a steed that ran like an eagle,

    with generosity, glory, and goodness in its saddle.
