ومضمومة تحت حضن الدجى

مقبلة بشفاه الأماني

مقبلة بشفاه الأماني

And one held close beneath night's embrace,

And clasped under the bosom of dusk

Kissed by the lips of wishes;

Approaching with the lips of wishes

تروق زهيراً أزاهيرها

تروق زهيراً أزاهيرها

ويعشو إلى ضوئها الأعشيان

ويعشو إلى ضوئها الأعشيان

Her blossoms delight Zuhayr,

Her blossoms imbue vigor

And the two Aʿshās grope toward her light.

And the night birds revel in her glow
