جَلَت لك أُخرى من رُبَاها جوانبا
Whenever your eyes survey the side of a hill,
another of its rises reveals its flanks to you.

Its blossoms laugh with us, as though
we were courting beloveds among its meadows.

The chrysanthemum smiled there, so I fancied it
greeting you, delighted with you and playful.

And the rose's veil came loose; it swayed, claiming
kinship, in its valley, with the roses of cheeks.

I say, while the land holds nothing but a hollow
clasping hands with the meadows clustered close around it:

and so reveal marvels of exquisite blossoms?

hoping he would choose pleasure grounds within it?
