أيّ نور كشف الله به

سدف الباطل عنا أجمعين

سدف الباطل عنا أجمعين

What a light through which God dispelled

the darkness of falsehood from us all!

ختم الله به أنواره

عندما أكمل سن الأربعين

عندما أكمل سن الأربعين

God sealed His lights with him

when he reached forty years of age.

وأتانا بدليل بيّن

وأتانا بدليل بيّن

عجزت عنه دواعي المدَّعين

عجزت عنه دواعي المدَّعين

And he came to us with clear proof,

before which the pretenders' impulses proved powerless.

فهو للناس جميعاً مرشدٌ

فهو للناس جميعاً مرشدٌ

وهو بالله تعالى مستعين

وهو بالله تعالى مستعين

Thus he is a guide to all people,

and he seeks help from God Most High.

تركت دعوتُهُ وهو الرضي

تركت دعوتُهُ وهو الرضي

سائرَ الخلق إليها مهطعين

سائرَ الخلق إليها مهطعين

His call—he is the well-pleasing one—has left

all creation hastening toward it.

فأعِد أنباءَهُ فهو منى

فأعِد أنباءَهُ فهو منى

أنفُسِ القائل والمستمعين

أنفُسِ القائل والمستمعين

So repeat the accounts of him, for he is the desire

of the souls of the speaker and the listeners.

والذي يهدي إلى شرعته

والذي يهدي إلى شرعته

فهو مجَّاج من العذب المعين

فهو مجَّاج من العذب المعين

And whoever guides others to his law

pours forth sweet, flowing water.

والذي يرغب عن سنَّته

والذي يرغب عن سنَّته

فهو من شيعة إبليس اللعين

فهو من شيعة إبليس اللعين

And whoever turns away from his way

is among the followers of Iblis, the accursed.
