  1. عجباً للناس تاهوا

    ببنّيات المسالك

    How astonishing that people have strayed

    Along the byways of the paths.

  2. وصفوا بالفضل قوماً

    وهُمُ ليسوا هنالك

    They credited some people with excellence,

    Though they are nowhere near it.

  3. كَثُرَ النقل ولكن

    صح عن سهل بن مالك

    Reports have multiplied, yet

    The report from Sahl ibn Malik is sound.
