تَرى العِلافِيَّ مِنها موفداً فَظِعاً
إِذاwhen اِحزَrise up (first part of a split verb) آلcontinuation of the split verb بِهِwith it مِنfrom ظَهرِهاher back فِقَرُvertebrae
إِذا اِحزَ آل بِهِ مِن ظَهرِها فِقَرُ
You see the ʿIlāfī saddle towering above her, formidable,
when the vertebrae of her back rise up beneath it.
