The days have laid you bare, O man.

Let no dishonor befall the one you humiliated.

If you have indeed been deflowered after me, then it is no

novelty for pomegranates to be split open.

Hands have unfolded you after chastity,

beneath which you used to be folded away and protected.

O you who race ahead, so yielding in plea-

sures and revelry, where is that stubborn resistance?

No horse-trainer of yours ever challenged you without

your saying, 'Between me and you lies the arena.'

Why should I suffer because of you while another finds joy

in loving you? My love, then, is a pander.
