Wallowing in decadent darkness, without care
he cares not which path he takes.
For which path he takes in life's tangled snare,

Do not assail the cups by drinking them;
Do not destroy yourself with cups of wine
for if you die, it is they that strike you down first.
For they in turn will come to destroy you in time,

I have fallen silent about you, so great is your crime;
I withhold from you for your crimes are so immense,
and likewise, when judges are mentioned, hold your tongues.
And so too when judges are mentioned, withhold and be silent.
