ناظِرٌ مِن طَرفِ مُنجَمِشِ
Stealing a glance in bewilderment,
A fleeting moment of sincerity
gazing from a narrowed eye.
A watcher from the corner of his eyelash

With his glance, my heart was struck
His gaze has struck my heart
by the arrow of his eyes—and it did not miss.
The arrow of his eyes did not miss

The hand of destiny has etched

My thirst is quenched by his kiss;
My thirst is quenched by his kiss
so when shall I find relief from thirst?
So when will he slake my thirst?
