أَيا مَن أَعرَضَ اللَهُ

أَيا مَن أَعرَضَ اللَهُ

عَنِ العالَمِ مِن بُغضِه

عَنِ العالَمِ مِن بُغضِه

O you—God turned away

O you whom Allah has turned away

from the world out of hatred for you;

From this world out of hatred

وَيا مَن بَعضُهُ يَشهَ

وَيا مَن بَعضُهُ يَشهَ

دُ بِالبُغضِ عَلى بَعضِه

دُ بِالبُغضِ عَلى بَعضِه

and O you whose one part bears witness

And O you some of whom bear witness

with hatred against another;

To hatred against others

وَيا أَثقَلَ خَلقِ اللَ

وَيا أَثقَلَ خَلقِ اللَ

هِ مِن ماشٍ عَلى أَرضِه

هِ مِن ماشٍ عَلى أَرضِه

and O heaviest of God's creatures

And O heaviest of Allah's creatures

among those who walk upon His earth;

Walking on His earth

وَمَن عافَ مَليكُ المَو

وَمَن عافَ مَليكُ المَو

تِ وَاِستَقذَرَ مِن قَبضِه

تِ وَاِستَقذَرَ مِن قَبضِه

and you whom the King of Death shunned

And you whom the Angel of Death has pardoned

and found too foul to seize.

And deemed unworthy of his grasp
