A night-roving raincloud, its eyes never kohled with sleep,
A doe unadorned with kohl around her eyes
Dark, bearing a pure downpour,
Modest yet proud, pure and unsullied

Laden with sweet and salty herbage,
She walks on leaving goodness that remains
It passes on, leaving blessings that do not pass away.
Heaven decreed she grace the earth

قَضَت بِها السَماءُ حَقَّ الأَرضِ
Through it, the sky has paid the earth its due.
