وكان العرار راحة داع

وكان العرار راحة داع

أو مطا ساجد عليه ملاء

أو مطا ساجد عليه ملاء

And the ʿarār blossoms were a supplicant’s open palm,

And the ʿarār flower was a supplicant’s palm,

or the back of one prostrate, draped in robes.

Or a prostrate worshipper’s back, with cloaks upon it.
