كأنه البرد الربعي تشبيها

And a vessel delicate as raindrops, holding something dazzlingly white,

With a gentle charm like a drop of dew

Like springtime hail, to draw a comparison.

As though it were the coolness of spring in likeness

شفافة من حداق الزرق قد طبعت

ومن بياض عيون الحور ما فيها

Transparent, it was cast from the pupils of the blue-eyed,

Crystal clear, from the blue of the iris imprinted

And what it holds comes from the whites of houris’ eyes.

And from the white of the maidens' eyes whatever is in them
