How astonishing is time in its workings!
And Time—its wonders never come to an end.
And time's wonders never come to an end.
فكمfor how many رأيناwe have seen فيin الدهرtime منof أسدa lion
فكم رأينا في الدهر من أسد
بالتurinated علىon رأسهhis head ثعاليهhis foxes (apparently intended as ثعالبه)
بالت على رأسه ثعاليه
How many a lion have we seen in the course of Time,
For how many a lion have we seen through time,
his foxes spending the night upon his head.
On whose head his foxes have urinated.
