غنينا بالحرامِ عن الحلالِ
وعنand instead of نيكِfucking الغوانيbeautiful women بالرجالwith men
وعن نيكِ الغواني بالرجال
We made do with the forbidden instead of the lawful,
We sing of forbidden passions, not lawful love;
We have satisfied ourselves with the forbidden over the lawful,
And with men instead of fucking beautiful women.
Of men, not women, being our heart's desire.
And with men, rather than the bedding of fair maidens,

فأسرعَ فيهمُ سهمُ النضالِ
Here, then, are men whose beards have grown thick,
You lead a people strong in zeal and deed;
So take for yourself a company whose beards have grown great,
So the archery contest’s arrow sped among them.
In them the arrow of endeavor flies.
Among whom the arrow of the contest speeds swiftly,

فإنّ الحظّ في الصهبِ السبالِ
And count none their equal as long as you live,
Judge them not equally, while life remains,
And accept no substitute for them as long as you live,
For luck lies with men whose moustaches are reddish-blond.
For fortune ever takes the bravest prize.
For true fortune lies in those with reddish whiskers.
