And the image of exalted Mary,

By the Image of Mary Most High

And by the image of Mary, the Most High,

And by the bell-clapper at dawn,

By the Whip at Dawn

And by the clapper struck at dawn,

بما ألبستَ من حُسن

بما ألبستَ من حُسن

لباسِ الظرفِ والملح

لباسِ الظرفِ والملح

By the beauty in which you were clothed—

By the Beauty you have clothed

By the beauty you have been clothed in,

The garb of grace and charm—

The Raiment of Grace and Salt

The raiment of elegance and wit,

ألا جرتَ فإنّ الجورَ

ألا جرتَ فإنّ الجورَ

من فعلِ أولي القُبحِ

من فعلِ أولي القُبحِ

Indeed, you have been unjust, for injustice

Oh do not do wrong for wrongdoing

You have been unjust! For injustice

Is the work of the ugly.

Is the act of evil doers

Is the deed of those with ugly souls.
