وبالمسيحِ ولوقا

ويوحنا المعمدان

and by Christ and Luke,

And by the Messiah and Luke,

and John the Baptist,

And John the Baptist,

وأسقفٍ عنده

وأسقفٍ عنده

السجود للمطرانِ

and by a bishop, in whose presence

And a bishop before whom,

prostration is offered to the metropolitan,

Prostration is made to the Metropolitan,

وبالسعاة بأعلى

وبالسعاة بأعلى

كنيسةِ الرهبانِ

كنيسةِ الرهبانِ

and by the messengers at the top

And by the servers in the heights,

of the monks' church,

Of the church of the monks,

وبالأناجيل والسفر

وبالأناجيل والسفر

في يد القنّان

في يد القنّان

and by the Gospels and the book

And by the Gospels and the scripture,

in the priest's hand,

In the hand of the lector,

وحقِّ آي الز

وحقِّ آي الز

بور المشمل للألحان

بور المشمل للألحان

and by the sanctity of the verses of the Psal-

And by the truth of the verses of the Psalms,

ter, encompassing melodies,

That encompass holy melodies,

وبالشعانين في

وبالشعانين في

كلِ موضع ومكان

كلِ موضع ومكان

and by Palm Sunday in

And by the Palm Sunday processions in,

every spot and place,

Every region and place,

وبالديارات مع مَن

وبالديارات مع مَن

بها من السكان

بها من السكان

and by the monasteries, along with those

And by the monasteries along with,

who dwell within them—

Those who dwell within them,

لما رحمتَ اشتكائي

لطرفك الفتّان

لطرفك الفتّان

will you not pity my lament

That you might have mercy on my plaint,

to your bewitching gaze?

Regarding your captivating gaze.
