جئتَ ولم ندر من أين جيتا

اذا سقيت المزيد السحتيتا

اذا سقيت المزيد السحتيتا

You came, and we did not know where you came from.

You came and we did not know from where you came,

When you were given thin, watered-down milk,

If I gave you more to drink, you would become intoxicated.

قلتَ ألا زدني وقد رويتا

قلتَ ألا زدني وقد رويتا

You said, “Come, give me more!” though you had drunk your fill.

You said, no give me more, for I am quenched.
