من أي خلق اللَه حين يلقى

من أي خلق اللَه حين يلقى

Most of God's creatures are those of whom none can tell,

Most of God's creation do not know

When met, what kind of God's creatures they are.

From what material God created them

And a robe is spread out, then gathered up,

A robe is spread then folded away

And a mantle is bought, costing dearly,

A garment bought then decayed

لعبد عبد او لمولى مولى

يا ويح بيت المال ماذا يلقى

For a slave of a slave, or a client of a client.

For a slave, a slave or for a lord, a lord

Alas for the treasury—what it must endure!

Oh woe to the house of wealth, what will it encounter
