She returned; yet had she done so, she would not have been loved.

So she hurtles from one barren plain to another,

For a time; then, if the water-seekers’ watering time had come,

And the time to remove the corrupting companion,

God said to her, “Come, and ascend!”

So she settled at the familiar abode,

And the stock—the ancestral stock—is the finest stock.

Never has the babbler of envious souls been assailed

By the like of a steadfast, firmly supported king.

When they sought to strike sparks with a fire-stick yielding none,

Twisted with [tightly bound?] strands, stiff and hardened,

He grows still more furious in the face of threats.

So withdraw with gentleness and submission

From a crushing scourge that devours like a foaming beast.
