Grant me, O Steadfast One, firm strength.

Do not let my enemies prevail over me; grant me victory.

Lord, I complain of men's oppression; O Sub-

duer, grant me power that humbles the one who humbles me.

يا شديد العقاب ذا البطش والأخ

ذ الأليم الشديد خذهم بعدل

O stern in punishment, possessed of might and

painful, forceful seizure, take them with justice.

وارث الأرض خذهم وأبدهم

وانتصر لي منهم وخذ لي بذحلي

وانتصر لي منهم وخذ لي بذحلي

Inheritor of the earth, seize them and destroy them.

Vindicate me against them and avenge my grievance.

كادني الخصم يا حسيب فكده

أمتن الكيد لا تدعه بمهل

My adversary has plotted against me, O Reckoner; outplot him

with the strongest plot; grant him no respite.

أرني العدل فيه يا قائماً بال

قسط والعدل منك ليس بسهل

Show me justice against him, O Upholder of

equity; justice from You is no easy matter.

رب أنت الشهيد والحكم العد

Lord, You are the Witness and the just Judge;

give me redress against my oppressor and soothe my burning anger.

لم تغب عنك يا رقيب مساعي

His efforts have not escaped You, O Watcher;

You count every word and deed.

فاصطلمه وأخزه وأمته

Uproot him, disgrace him, and put him to death,

O Giver of death to the living, in a death of humiliation.

غضب اللّه ظالم متولي

No wrongdoer can escape, while You are all-powerful,

the wrath of God when it comes upon him.

إنه للامهال ليس بأهل

Bring him down, O All-Powerful, and strike him down utterly;

he is unworthy of any reprieve.

Make him taste abasement and shame, O All-

Powerful, and tear down his structures completely.

O Swift in reckoning, O Destroyer who over-

takes, overtake my adversary with shame and woe.

وى عليه كالوابل المستهل

By Your name, the Raiser, send evil and afflic-

tion upon him like a pouring rain.

يا مذل الجبار ذا القوة المن

تقم الغالب انتقم لي وكد لي

O Humbler of tyrants, possessor of strength, the Aveng-

er who prevails, avenge me and plot on my behalf.

O Destroyer of generations, O Taker of

souls, take his soul without delay.
