O Restorer of perishing beings, as at their first creation,

The renewer of the ephemeral selves as their originator

to manifest the glory of absolute power.

To manifest the glory of the absolute power

وما العود إلا البدء من حيث حكم كن

تعاليت كلتا النشأتين بقبضة

تعاليت كلتا النشأتين بقبضة

And restoration is but origination under the decree 'Be!'

And return is but the beginning from where "Be" was decreed

Exalted are You! Both creations lie within a single grasp.

The eminence of both creations is grasped in one fist

وفي النشأة الأولى دلائل تقتضي

جلال اقتدار الحق لا بوسيطة

جلال اقتدار الحق لا بوسيطة

And in the first creation are signs that attest to

And in the first creation are signs that necessitate

the majesty of the True One's might, without an intermediary.

The majesty of the True's power without intermediary

وليس معاد الجسم أعظم رتبة

وليس معاد الجسم أعظم رتبة

لمبدئه من رتبة المبدئية

لمبدئه من رتبة المبدئية

Nor is the body's resurrection greater in rank

And the body's renewal is no loftier in rank

for its Originator than the rank of origination.

Than its origin from the rank of Originator

الهي سلطان اقتدارك قاهر

الهي سلطان اقتدارك قاهر

لنشأة ابداء ونشأة عودة

لنشأة ابداء ونشأة عودة

My God, the sovereignty of Your power prevails

O God, the authority of Your power prevails

over first creation and creation anew.

Over the creation of inception and return

فمصدر خلق العود كالبدأ واحد

فمصدر خلق العود كالبدأ واحد

وما حكمنا إلا كنفس وحيدة

وما حكمنا إلا كنفس وحيدة

For re-creation, like first creation, has one source,

So the source of creation of return is like the beginning, one

and our case is but that of a single soul.

And our decree is but like a single soul

معيد أيادي الفضل من غير موجب

معيد أيادي الفضل من غير موجب

سوى كرم محض وواسع رحمة

سوى كرم محض وواسع رحمة

O You who renew gifts of grace, with no compelling cause

Renewing the favors of grace without cause

but pure generosity and abundant mercy,

Other than pure, abundant mercy

أعدل لي حظاً مزقته خطيئتي

أعدل لي حظاً مزقته خطيئتي

وحل سيدي بيني وبين الخطيئة

وحل سيدي بيني وبين الخطيئة

set right for me the lot my sin has torn apart,

Rectify for me a fortune torn by my sin

and stand, my Master, between me and sin.

And step between me and sin, my Master

أعد لي اعتصامي في الشدائد كلها

أعد لي اعتصامي في الشدائد كلها

بجاهك يا من جاهه ركن عصمتي

بجاهك يا من جاهه ركن عصمتي

Restore to me, in every hardship, my refuge

Restore for me my strength in all tribulations

in Your majesty, O You whose majesty is the pillar of my protection.

By Your glory, O You whose glory is my bastion of inviolability
