ويا نافع انفعني بحبك خالصاً

بحبك لي يا من أحب محبتي

بحبك لي يا من أحب محبتي

O Benefactor, benefit me through pure love of You—

And O Benefactor, benefit me through sincere love for You,

through Your love for me, O You who love my loving devotion.

Through Your love for me, O You who have loved my love.

ويا نافع انفعني بتحقيق توبتي

ويا نافع انفعني بتحقيق توبتي

وتثبيتها يا رب عن كل زلة

وتثبيتها يا رب عن كل زلة

O Benefactor, benefit me by making my repentance true

And O Benefactor, benefit me by making my repentance genuine,

and keeping it firm, O Lord, against every lapse.

And making it steadfast, O Lord, against every lapse.

ويا نافع انفعني بنورك إنني

ويا نافع انفعني بنورك إنني

إذا لم تنورني هلكت بظلمتي

إذا لم تنورني هلكت بظلمتي

O Benefactor, benefit me with Your light; indeed,

And O Benefactor, benefit me with Your light, for I

if You do not illumine me, I shall perish in my darkness.

Will perish in my darkness if You do not illumine me.

ويا نافع انفعني بتقديس باطني

ويا نافع انفعني بتقديس باطني

وتزكيتي من آفة البشرية

وتزكيتي من آفة البشرية

O Benefactor, benefit me by sanctifying my inward being

And O Benefactor, benefit me by sanctifying my inner being,

and purifying me from the blight of human nature.

And purifying me of the blight of human nature.

ويا نافع انفعني بعرفان خالقي

ويا نافع انفعني بعرفان خالقي

واحياء سري واتقاد بصيرتي

واحياء سري واتقاد بصيرتي

O Benefactor, benefit me with knowledge of my Creator,

And O Benefactor, benefit me through knowledge of my Creator,

with the revival of my innermost secret and the kindling of my insight.

And reviving my inner secret and kindling my insight.

ويا نافع انفعني بأسمائك التي

ويا نافع انفعني بأسمائك التي

بها ظهرت ربي صفات الألوهة

بها ظهرت ربي صفات الألوهة

O Benefactor, benefit me through Your names, by which

And O Benefactor, benefit me through Your names, through which

the attributes of divinity were made manifest, my Lord.

The attributes of divinity became manifest, my Lord.

ويا نافع انفعني بأوصافك التي

ويا نافع انفعني بأوصافك التي

تقاصر عنها مدرك الواصفية

تقاصر عنها مدرك الواصفية

O Benefactor, benefit me through Your attributes, before which

And O Benefactor, benefit me through Your attributes, which

the understanding of those who would describe them falls short.

Lie beyond the grasp of description.

ويا نافع انفعني بوحيك إنه

ويا نافع انفعني بوحيك إنه

شفاء هدى نور جلاء لكربتي

شفاء هدى نور جلاء لكربتي

O Benefactor, benefit me through Your revelation; truly, it is

And O Benefactor, benefit me through Your revelation, for it is

healing, guidance, light, and relief for my anguish.

Healing, guidance, light, and relief for my distress.

ويا نافع انفعني بنور محمد

ويا نافع انفعني بنور محمد

وباركني اللهم بالتبعية

وباركني اللهم بالتبعية

O Benefactor, benefit me through the light of Muhammad,

And O Benefactor, benefit me through the light of Muhammad,

and bless me, O God, in following him.

And bless me, O God, through following him.

ويا نافع انفعني باذكارك التي

ويا نافع انفعني باذكارك التي

صرفت لها حباً لوجهك خدمتي

صرفت لها حباً لوجهك خدمتي

O Benefactor, benefit me through the invocations of You to which

And O Benefactor, benefit me through invocations of You, to which

I have devoted my service, lovingly, for Your sake.

I have devoted my service out of love for Your countenance.

ويا نافع انفعني بخوفك والرجا

ويا نافع انفعني بخوفك والرجا

وبالعدل والاحسان في كل خصلة

وبالعدل والاحسان في كل خصلة

O Benefactor, benefit me through fear of You and hope,

And O Benefactor, benefit me through fear of You and hope,

and through justice and excellence in every trait.

And through justice and benevolence in every trait.
