1. الهِيَ أنت الوارث الملك مطلقاً

    بكونك تبقى بعد كل الخليقة

    My God, You are the absolute inheritor of dominion,

    for You remain after all creation.

  2. على أنه لم تنتقل عنك ذرة

    من الملك في الأزال والأبدية

    Though not an atom has passed from You

    of dominion, in beginningless time and endless eternity.

  3. وعبدك والملك الذي أنت منعم

    عليه به في القبضة المالكية

    And Your servant, and the dominion You bestow as a favor

    upon him, are within Your sovereign grasp.

  4. لك الملك والملك المدبر أمره

    بغير اعتبار لانتقال اراثة

    Yours are sovereignty and possessions, their affairs governed,

    without regard to any transfer by inheritance.

  5. وكونك خير الوارثين دلالة ال

    بقاء وإن لا حد للصمدية

    And Your being the best of inheritors is a sign of

    Your abiding existence, though Your self-sufficiency has no limit.

  6. وقولك نحن الوارثون جلالة

    تجل عن الأعواز والممكنية

    And Your saying, 'We are the inheritors,' has a majesty

    exalted above all need and contingency.

  7. وايراثك المخلوق للملك نعمة

    على أنه ما حال عنك بلحظة

    And Your making the creature heir to dominion is a blessing,

    though it has never passed from You, even for a moment.

  8. وما الملك للمخلوق إلا اضافة

    مجازية في القبضة السرمدية

    And the creature's dominion is merely an attribution—

    a figurative one, within Your eternal grasp.

  9. وملك وملك المالكين مصيه

    إليك وهم لم يملكوا قدر نملة

    And the dominion and possessions of owners return

    to You, though they never owned an ant's worth.

  10. فلم يبق للدعوى بوجه تعلق

    بملكك خابت كل دعوى وضلت

    So no claim has any hold whatsoever

    on Your dominion; every claim has failed and gone astray.

  11. فيا وارث أورثني العلم والصفا

    وحلية أهل العلم أهل الحقيقة

    So, O Inheritor, grant me knowledge and purity as an inheritance,

    and the adornment of the people of knowledge, the people of truth.
