My God, I have surrendered my face, bearing witness

to Your countenance, in faith in the might of divinity.

As a witness to Your face, believing in the glory of divinity

الهي شهيد بالذي أنت شاهد

الهي شهيد بالذي أنت شاهد

شهادة املاك وذي العالمية

شهادة املاك وذي العالمية

My God, I bear witness to what You witness,

My God, I bear witness to that of which You are Witness

with the testimony of angels and one endowed with knowledge.

The testimony of the angels and the Lord of the worlds

الهي من الآثار للعين شاهد

الهي من الآثار للعين شاهد

ومن لازم الموجود للموجدية

ومن لازم الموجود للموجدية

My God, in the traces the eye finds testimony,

My God, from the effects visible to the eye is a witness

and in what existence entails, testimony to creatorship.

And from the necessary concomitant of existence to creativity

الهي سلطان الألوهة ظاهر

الهي سلطان الألوهة ظاهر

على وله المألوه للراحمية

على وله المألوه للراحمية

My God, the sovereignty of divinity is manifest

My God, the sultanate of divinity is evident

in the worshipper's yearning for mercy.

For the enthralled of the Merciful for mercy

الهي سلطان الألوهة آخذ

الهي سلطان الألوهة آخذ

بحجزته المألوه في أسر ذلة

بحجزته المألوه في أسر ذلة

My God, the sovereignty of divinity holds

My God, the sultanate of divinity takes

the worshipper by his girdle, captive in abasement.

Its enthralled captive in the shackles of humiliation

الهي اعظامي الألوهة سابق

الهي اعظامي الألوهة سابق

وسبقى مسبوق بسابق وحدة

وسبقى مسبوق بسابق وحدة

My God, my reverence for divinity has precedence,

My God, the bones of divinity precede

yet my precedence is preceded by the primacy of oneness.

And are preceded by the preceding oneness

الهي ثبتني على ما هديتني

الهي ثبتني على ما هديتني

وخولتنيه من تأله فطرتي

وخولتنيه من تأله فطرتي

My God, keep me steadfast in what You have guided me to

My God, make me steadfast in what You have guided me

and bestowed upon me: the worship innate to my nature.

And endowed me from the deification of my primal nature

الهي من يؤله إليك كولهتي

الهي من يؤله إليك كولهتي

تداركته وحيا بشأن الألوهة

تداركته وحيا بشأن الألوهة

My God, whoever turns to You in devotion with a yearning like mine,

My God, whoever deifies You, You have granted him

You come to his aid with inspiration concerning divinity.

And brought him to life in the matter of divinity

الهي من شأن الألوهة رحمة

الهي من شأن الألوهة رحمة

وحلم وشأن فوق اطراء مدحتي

وحلم وشأن فوق اطراء مدحتي

My God, among the attributes of divinity are mercy

My God, of the affair of divinity is mercy

and forbearance, and a majesty beyond my lavish praise.

And clemency, and an affair above the ornament of my praise

الهي من شأن الألوهة أن ترى

الهي من شأن الألوهة أن ترى

لوجهك اخباتي ووهلي وخشيتي

لوجهك اخباتي ووهلي وخشيتي

My God, it is in the nature of divinity that You see

My God, of the affair of divinity is that You see

my humble submission before Your countenance, my dread, and my awe.

My reverence, my yearning, and my awe for Your face

الهي عرفاني بأن لا إله لي

الهي عرفاني بأن لا إله لي

سواك به أرجو خلاصي وقربتي

سواك به أرجو خلاصي وقربتي

My God, my knowledge that I have no god

My God, make me know that I have no god but You

but You—through it I hope for my deliverance and nearness.

In whom I hope for my salvation and nearness
