Knower of the unseen and the seen, All-

Knower of hidden things, All-Knowing, grant me Your knowledge.

واهب الفيض أوع قلبي بالحك

مة والعلم يا حكيم ومل

مة والعلم يا حكيم ومل

Bestower of overflowing grace, make my heart a vessel for wis-

dom and knowledge, O Wise One, and fill it.

يا مفيض الأنوار نور السموا

يا مفيض الأنوار نور السموا

ت والأرض أجل رين ظلمة جهلي

ت والأرض أجل رين ظلمة جهلي

O Pourer-forth of lights, Light of the heav-

ens and the earth, clear away the rust of my ignorance's darkness.

منعتني عن الحقائق حجب

منعتني عن الحقائق حجب

مزق الحجب يا مبين وجل

مزق الحجب يا مبين وجل

Veils have kept me from the realities.

Tear apart the veils, O Revealer, and clear them away.

أبن لي النور والمعارف يا ظا

أبن لي النور والمعارف يا ظا

هر من بحر نورك المتجلي

هر من بحر نورك المتجلي

Reveal to me light and insights, O Mani-

fest One, from the ocean of Your self-revealing light.

لا تفتني علم الحقيقة وهباً

لا تفتني علم الحقيقة وهباً

باطن الذات في ظهور التجلي

باطن الذات في ظهور التجلي

Do not let the gift of knowledge of Reality elude me,

O Hidden in essence, amid manifest self-revelation.

كيف تبقى كثائف الجهل عندي

كيف تبقى كثائف الجهل عندي

إن تكن يا خبير أنت المجلي

إن تكن يا خبير أنت المجلي

How can the dense layers of ignorance remain with me,

if You, O All-Aware, are the Unveiler?

فاهدني يا هادي صراطك وأهد ال

فاهدني يا هادي صراطك وأهد ال

خلق لي واهد بي إلى خير سبل

خلق لي واهد بي إلى خير سبل

So guide me, O Guide, along Your path, and guide the

creation to me, and through me guide them to the best of paths.

يا بديع اكشف لي البدائع واقذف

يا بديع اكشف لي البدائع واقذف

شعل الفهم والذكاء بعقلي

شعل الفهم والذكاء بعقلي

O Originator, reveal the wonders to me, and cast

flames of understanding and intelligence into my mind.

واسقني من عين الحياة بسراس

واسقني من عين الحياة بسراس

مك محيي واجعله عليَّ ونهلي

مك محيي واجعله عليَّ ونهلي

And give me drink from the spring of life through the mystery of Your na-

me, 'Giver of Life'; make it my second draught and my first.

مد لي من سر الاحاطة مداً

مد لي من سر الاحاطة مداً

يا محيط علماً بجزء وكل

يا محيط علماً بجزء وكل

Grant me an outpouring from the mystery of all-encompassing knowledge,

O You whose knowledge encompasses part and whole.

يا سميع اكشف لي ستائر أسرا

يا سميع اكشف لي ستائر أسرا

ر الاسامي واسمع دعائي ووهلي

ر الاسامي واسمع دعائي ووهلي

O All-Hearing, lift for me the veils of the sec-

rets of the Names, and hear my supplication and my dread.

يا بصير امنحني يقيناً وادرا

يا بصير امنحني يقيناً وادرا

كاً وبصر سري بنورك واجل

كاً وبصر سري بنورك واجل

O All-Seeing, grant me certainty and percep-

tion; give my innermost self sight through Your light, and make it clear.

يا حفيظ احفظني وهب لي حفظاً

يا حفيظ احفظني وهب لي حفظاً

خازناً محصياً لما الوهب يملي

خازناً محصياً لما الوهب يملي

O Preserver, preserve me, and grant me a memory,

storing and keeping count of all that bounty dictates.
