Sol 6.1

  1. ويا ماجد الأعلى الرفيع جلاله

    لمجدك يعنو كل مجد ورفعة

    And O Glorious One, Most High, whose majesty is exalted,

    To Your glory all glory and eminence bow.

  2. تعطف بالمجد العظيم الذي به

    تكرمت بالحسنى إلى كل فطرة

    Show compassion, by the mighty glory through which

    You graciously extended goodness to every created nature.

  3. قرنت بعز الذات فضلاً مواصلاً

    إلى الخلق كل منهم تحت نسبة

    You joined to the might of Your Essence a bounty extending

    To creation, each of them subject to a relation.

  4. وذلك مجد ليس يقدر قدره

    وأنت الحقيق الحق بالماجدية

    And that is glory whose worth cannot be measured,

    And You, the True One, are worthy of glory.

  5. ومجدك مجد لا بماجد شأنه

    ولا يترقى باكتساب فضيلة

    And Your glory is glory whose standing derives from no glorious one,

    Nor does it rise by acquiring a virtue.

  6. وعزة جلال المجد غير مؤثر

    لداعية إلا حقَوق الألوهة

    And the might of glory's majesty is unmoved

    By any motive save the claims of divinity.

  7. بعزة مجد الماجد الحق سيدي

    تدارك بأيد منك وهني وذلتي

    By the might of the true Glorious One's glory, my Master,

    Remedy my weakness and abasement with strength from You.

  8. ومجد شؤوني باتباعك مطلقاً

    فلا مجد إلا الصدق في تبعيتي

    And ennoble my affairs through following You without reserve,

    For there is no glory but sincerity in my obedience.

  9. وهب لي مقاماً صادق الحال قائماً

    بتمجيدك اللهم في بحر هيبة

    And grant me a station, true in its state, steadfast

    In glorifying You, O God, within a sea of awe.

  10. ولا تلق يا ذا المجد حالي كسيرة

    ومجدك يا ذا المجد أسنى ذريعتي

    And do not find my state broken, O Possessor of Glory;

    And Your glory, O Possessor of Glory, is my noblest means of approach.
