My paternal uncle—the man who presented Khosrow with his steeds,
My uncle, who gave his steeds to Kisra—

At the gate, some of them were let loose, and others stood still—

one evening met the interpreter and his sovereign;
On the evening he met the interpreter and his master,

So he ushered him in alone, while the delegations waited.
