إنّ الكرامَ على الجياد مَقيلُهم

إنّ الكرامَ على الجياد مَقيلُهم

فذَري الجيادَ لأهلها وتَعَطَّري

Indeed, the noble make the steeds their noonday resting place;

Indeed, the noble take their midday rest upon steeds.

so leave the steeds to their rightful riders—and perfume yourself.

So leave the steeds to their masters, and perfume yourself.
