When you gain wealth, you say, “Qays is my clan,”

deliberately wronging us in your judgment.

And if the opposite happens, then Bakr ibn Wa'il—

you claim—has its ailment packed with your medicine.

There, we do not walk toward you under cover of thickets,

sons of Mismaʿ; there, we are indeed those men.

May a turn of fortune for the two Dhuhl clans and Yashkur one day

bring back to us seven shares of your bounty.
