When you gain wealth, you say, “Qays is my clan.”

You deliberately wrong us in your judgments.

And if things go otherwise, then it is Bakr ibn Wāʾil,

whose ailment, you claim, is stuffed with your medicine.

There we do not creep through the thickets toward you,

O sons of Mismaʿ; there we are those very men.

May the turn of fortune for the two Dhuhl clans and Yashkur one day

bring us back seven of your gifts.
