وَأَكثَرُ حالاتِ الزَمانِ يَغُمَّني

وَأَكثَرُ حالاتِ الزَمانِ يَغُمَّني

وَلَيسَ لِغَمِّ العارِفينَ مُفَرَّجُ

وَلَيسَ لِغَمِّ العارِفينَ مُفَرَّجُ

Most of time’s vicissitudes fill me with grief,

And most of the conditions of the times grieve me;

and among those who understand, none can dispel my sorrow.

And there is no relief for the sorrow of those who know.
