Sol 6.1

  1. يُطعِمُ دونَ الشَبعَ أَولادَه

    وَيَختِمُ البَرمَةَ وَالجَفنَه

    He feeds his children, but not enough to fill them,

    And seals the cooking pot and the serving bowl.

  2. لَم يَروِ إِلّا خَبَراً واحِداً

    قَد تَذهَبُ البِطنَةُ بِالفِطنَه

    He has recounted only one saying:

    Overeating may rob one of wit.
