For every affliction, relief is near,

as night is followed by morning.

    كَذاكَ لِكُلِّ فاسِدَةٍ صَلاحُ

    And indeed, every sound thing has its decay;

likewise, every spoiled thing has its restoration.

And the days have outstretched hands,

and courtyards made spacious and wide.

And sometimes they come with beautiful faces,

just as they come with ugly faces.

And circumstances have hardship and ease,

and the world has its closing and opening.

So do not be dismayed by it; bear it patiently,

    for patience ends in success.

And all calamities, when they reach their limit,

are accompanied by the relief that is granted.
