وَقَدand already غَدَوتُI set out early وَصُبحُwhile the dawn اللَيلِof night مُنتَقِصٌincomplete
وَغَرَّةُand the bright brow الصُبحِof morning مَصقولٌpolished حَواشيهاits edges
And I had set out early, while night's dawn was still incomplete,
The morn has risen and the night wanes
and morning's bright brow had burnished edges.
As dawn's first light shines bright
وَغَرَّبَتand set in the west أَنجُمُthe stars الظُلَماءِof darkness وَاِنحَدَرَتand descended
فَشالَso rose أَرجُلُهاtheir feet وَاِنحَطَّand sank أَيديهاtheir hands
The stars of darkness had set and descended,
The stars of darkness fade away
so their feet rose and their hands sank.
Their feet give way, their hands bow down
