وَمُقلَةٌ كَحَمِيّا الكَأسِ مُسكِرَةً

وَمُقلَةٌ كَحَمِيّا الكَأسِ مُسكِرَةً

وَحاجِبٌ كَهِلالِ الشَمسِ مَقرونُ

وَحاجِبٌ كَهِلالِ الشَمسِ مَقرونُ

And an eye, intoxicating as the heady essence of wine;

And an eye as intoxicating as the cup’s heady strength,

And an eyebrow, like the sun’s crescent, joined to its mate.

And a joined brow, like the sun’s crescent.
