And a yellow one falling from a green one's crown,

as a brilliant star plunged through the darkness.

It has branches drooping over its upper parts,

like fingers of a hand bent by one who counts.

Then one full of charm handed it to me, as though

the sun were his mother and the full moons his kin.

So he became renowned for beauty, celebrated,

with beauty his intimate friend and loveliness his companion.
