سَوداءُa black one (feminine) يَذرُفُflows دُمعُهاher tears
سَوداءُ يَذرُفُ دُمعُها
مِثلَlike الأَتونِthe furnace إِذاwhen وَكَفit leaks
مِثلَ الأَتونِ إِذا وَكَف
A black one—her tears flow
like a furnace when it leaks;
وَكَأَنَّهاand she is like مِنbecause of قُبحِهاher ugliness
وَكَأَنَّها مِن قُبحِها
سَلحُexcrement العَليلِthe sick man عَلىon الخَزَفearthenware
سَلحُ العَليلِ عَلى الخَزَف
and, because of her ugliness, she is like
a sick man's excrement on earthenware.
