A man older than his house

Than the open road.

Whose face is turned toward the end

ليس لي أُكلٌ سوى لح

مي وشِربٌ غير ريقي

I have no food except my own

I have nothing to eat but some crumbs

Flesh, and no drink except my saliva.

And naught to drink but my spittle
