مَغيبُك في الأُسبوعِ يَومين عَن شَجٍ

مَغيبُك في الأُسبوعِ يَومين عَن شَجٍ

وَيَومين بُعدٌ قاتِلٌ لِلشَجي الصَبِّ

وَيَومين بُعدٌ قاتِلٌ لِلشَجي الصَبِّ

Your absence from a sorrowing lover for two days each week,

Your absence two days in the week is agony

And two days more, is a separation fatal to the sorrowing, lovesick one.

And two days more, a torment for my aching heart

وَهَبكَ بِقَلبي حاضِراً فَلِمُقلَتي

وَهَبكَ بِقَلبي حاضِراً فَلِمُقلَتي

بِرُؤيَتِكَ الأنسُ المريحُ مِن الكَربِ

بِرُؤيَتِكَ الأنسُ المريحُ مِن الكَربِ

And grant that you are present in my heart; still, my eye finds

Though you live within my heart, my longing grows

In seeing you the solace that relieves distress.

For seeing you relieves my weary soul of sorrow

وِمِن نورِكَ الوَهّاجِ تَسري أَشعَّةٌ

وِمِن نورِكَ الوَهّاجِ تَسري أَشعَّةٌ

لِعَيني فَيَسري النور مِنها إِلى قَلبي

لِعَيني فَيَسري النور مِنها إِلى قَلبي

And from your blazing light, rays stream

The radiant beams of your effulgent light

To my eye, and from it the light flows to my heart.

Stream to my eyes, and then into my heart delight
