عِداتي لَهُم فَضلٌ عَليَّ وَمِنَّةٌ

عِداتي لَهُم فَضلٌ عَليَّ وَمِنَّةٌ

فَلا أَذهبَ الرَحمنُ عَنّي الأَعاديا

فَلا أَذهبَ الرَحمنُ عَنّي الأَعاديا

My enemies have shown me favor and kindness.

They have done me favors and shown me kindness

So may the Most Merciful not take my enemies away from me.

So may the Merciful not take my enemies from me

همُ بَحَثوا عَن زلَّتي فَاجتَنَبتُها

همُ بَحَثوا عَن زلَّتي فَاجتَنَبتُها

وَهُم نافَسُوني فَاكتَسَبت المَعاليا

وَهُم نافَسُوني فَاكتَسَبت المَعاليا

They searched for my lapse, so I avoided it.

They sought out my slip, so I avoided it

And they vied with me, so I attained lofty honors.

And as they vied with me, I attained the heights
