أَمُحتَمِياًAre you sheltering بِالدِينِbehind religion عَنfrom لَثمِkissing مَبسمٍa smiling mouth
أَمُحتَمِياً بِالدِينِ عَن لَثمِ مَبسمٍ
وَماand it is not لَثمُهُkissing it إِلاexcept يَسيرٌa slight thing مِنamong اللَمَمminor sins
وَما لَثمُهُ إِلا يَسيرٌ مِن اللَمَم
Do you shelter behind religion to avoid kissing a smiling mouth?
Its kiss is only a slight sin.
وَقَدand indeed أَعقَبَhas followed الرَحمَنُthe Merciful ذاكَthat بِوسعِهِwith His ample capacity
وَقَد أَعقَبَ الرَحمَنُ ذاكَ بِوسعِهِ
لِغُفرانِهِto forgive it فاسمَحso allow بلقياthe meeting of فَمٍa mouth لِفَمwith a mouth
لِغُفرانِهِ فاسمَح بلقيا فَمٍ لِفَم
And the Merciful has followed that with His ample power
to forgive it; so allow mouth to meet mouth.
