بنيتيَّ صابرا أباكما

بنيتيَّ صابرا أباكما

إنكما بعين من يراكما

إنكما بعين من يراكما

My two little daughters, be patient with your father.

I built my patience, grieving for you both

Indeed, you both are under the eye of Him who sees you.

In the eyes of those who see you, God is great

الله ربي سيدي مولاكما

الله ربي سيدي مولاكما

ولو يشاء عنهم أغناكما

ولو يشاء عنهم أغناكما

God, my Lord and Master, is the Guardian of you both.

God is my Lord, my Master, your Protector

And if He willed, He would make you both independent of them.

If He wills, He could make you free of need

تَضرَّعَا لا تَذْخَرا بُكاكما

تَضرَّعَا لا تَذْخَرا بُكاكما

لعلّه يرْحَم مَن أَوَاكما

لعلّه يرْحَم مَن أَوَاكما

Plead humbly, both of you; do not hold back your tears.

Plead and weep, do not hold back your tears

Perhaps He will have mercy on the one who sheltered you both.

Perhaps He may have mercy on whom raised you

إِنْ تَبْكِيا فالدَّهرُ قد أبكاكما

إِنْ تَبْكِيا فالدَّهرُ قد أبكاكما

If you both weep, then Time has already made you weep.

If you cry, time has made you cry enough
