مِمّا يَكونُ وَعَلَّهُ وَعَساهُ
Take it easy on yourself, and do not spend the night anxious at heart,
Lower your eyes and do not lie awake in fear of the future,
Over what may happen, and “perhaps it will” and “maybe it will.”
Of what may or may not be, for who knows what will come to pass?
فَالدَهرُfor time أَقصَرُshorter مُدَّةًin duration مِمّاthan what تَرىyou think

وَعَساكَ أَن تُكفى الَّذي تَخشاهُ
For time is shorter in duration than you think,
Time has a shorter duration than you imagine,
And perhaps you will be spared what you fear.
And perhaps you will be spared the trials you dread.
