Watered from above by the river.

and made Manbij my dwelling.
And made Mambij my home.

Of the meadow into two halves.

Like the rug the hands of maids
smiths' hands have bared a blade.
Stretched on it marked with tattoo.

Whoever rejoiced at what befell
Whoever was vexed by what I gained,

Let him die, teased and jested.

In all that befell me, I was never without
I did not fail in what befell me,
honor and reverence.
To be mighty or to be deterred.

I fostered hearts in awe,
and filled them with virtue and nobility.
And filled them with grace and nobility.

No misfortune has diminished me;
No event made me waver,

And battles are battles, wherever they are.

Wherever I moved,

So if I survive, I am
my foes' choking bane, as a boy and as a man.
The sword of time, sharpened in youth and old age.

polish amid the vicissitudes of time.
The death of the honorable, hunting game.

The ignorant is fooled by the world,
the death of the noble and proud: to be slain.
And in the world there is no pausing.
