يا مَن رَضيتُ بِفَرطِ ظُلمِه

يا مَن رَضيتُ بِفَرطِ ظُلمِه

وَدَخَلتُ طَوعاً تَحتَ حُكمِه

وَدَخَلتُ طَوعاً تَحتَ حُكمِه

O you whose excessive cruelty I have accepted,

O He whom I was content with His excessive injustice

and under whose rule I have willingly placed myself.

And willingly submitted to His rule

اللَهُ يَعلَمُ ما لَقي

اللَهُ يَعلَمُ ما لَقي

تُ مِنَ الهَوى وَكفى بِعِلمِه

تُ مِنَ الهَوى وَكفى بِعِلمِه

God knows what I have suffered

God knows what I have endured of love

from love, and His knowledge suffices.

And His knowledge suffices

هَب لِلمُقِرِّ بِذَنبِهِ

هَب لِلمُقِرِّ بِذَنبِهِ

وَاِصفَح لَهُ عَن عُظمِ جُرمِه

وَاِصفَح لَهُ عَن عُظمِ جُرمِه

Grant pardon to him who confesses his sin,

Grant forgiveness to the sinner of his sin

and forgive him the enormity of his offense.

And pardon him for the enormity of his crime

أَنّي أُعيذُكَ أَن تَنو

أَنّي أُعيذُكَ أَن تَنو

ءَ بِقَتلِهِ وَبِحمَلِ إِثمِهِ

ءَ بِقَتلِهِ وَبِحمَلِ إِثمِهِ

I seek to shield you from being weighed down

I seek Your protection lest You intend

by killing him and bearing its guilt.

To kill him or burden me with his sin
