وَلي في كُلِّ يَومٍ مِنكَ عَتبٌ

وَلي في كُلِّ يَومٍ مِنكَ عَتبٌ

أَقومُ بِهِ مَقامَ الإِعتِذارِ

أَقومُ بِهِ مَقامَ الإِعتِذارِ

And every day I have a reproach for you,

Each day I have a grievance with you

Which I offer in place of an apology.

For which I apologize incessantly

حَمَلتُ جَفاكَ لاجَلَداً وَلَكِن

حَمَلتُ جَفاكَ لاجَلَداً وَلَكِن

صَبَرتُ عَلى اِختِيارِكَ وَاِضطِراري

صَبَرتُ عَلى اِختِيارِكَ وَاِضطِراري

I bore your coldness, not out of fortitude, but

I have endured your aloofness not out of patience

I endured your choice and my own compulsion.

But because I had no choice, it was my destiny
