وبشعرٍ خالدٍ يُعطي الكمالا

This is the portrait of one who loves beauty,

This is an image of one who loves beauty

And through immortal verse bestows perfection.

And with immortal verse grants perfection

إن يكُن شيءٌ بشيءٍ فابعثي

إن يكُن شيءٌ بشيءٍ فابعثي

بدلاً من رسمهِ الباقي خيالا

بدلاً من رسمهِ الباقي خيالا

If one thing may be exchanged for another, then send

If anything can be replaced with something

A vision in place of his enduring portrait.

Send in place of his lasting form, a fantasy
